About Sage Catalyst

Strategic AI advising and practical training

Through a blend of strategy advising for leaders and practical training for educators, Sage Catalyst helps schools build clear AI roadmaps and bring them to life in classrooms.

Hi, I’m Lindsey.

The official bio . . .

I’m the founder of Sage Catalyst. I began my journey in a first-grade classroom, teaching in Virginia and Indonesia. Along the way I earned my Master’s in Instructional Design and Technology. From there, I moved into working with district leaders on change management strategy, teacher training and curriculum development, where I led large scale education reform programs impacting thousands of teachers and students in the Middle East and saw how effective training can equip educators to lead sustainable change.

Then I started hearing about ChatGPT and exploring with AI.

I knew this was a game changer . . . so I became certified as an AI-Assisted Advisor.

And yet, as I explored AI, I felt this fear of the unknown mixed with excitement, a hope for the possible good it will create and real concern about looming risks. An eagerness to learn mixed with concern about security and ethics. Maybe you’ve felt it too, this ‘beautiful tension of AI’.

Amidst the tension I’ve learned to not let fear be in the driver’s seat and how to navigate that tension with a balanced approach grounded in wisdom and open curiosity.

This is why I started Sage Catalyst . . . so I could share that approach with fellow educators and walk alongside them as they navigate the complexities of AI.

I’ve recently been inspired by the words of Cornelia C. Walther:

“Implementing hybrid intelligence is not simply a technology upgrade but a cultural transformation.

The unofficial bio . . .

When I’m not developing strategic AI roadmaps for schools or designing training, I’m deep in something creative . . .

I’ve designed automations in Make and custom GPTs as “thought partners”, created podcasts with NotebookLM, vibe coded my own apps in Loveable, generated custom images with Midjourney, differentiated content with Diffit, translated content with DeepL and created custom Chat Bots.

So no, I’m not a coder or an engineer. I’m not a guru in all things AI. I’m just someone who’s ridiculously curious, isn’t afraid to try new things, continually learning new tools and believes the age of AI will be the biggest disrupter to education in our lifetime. Want to learn with me?

What have I learned?

AI doesn’t always work well. It’s about trying, learning and iterating.

Why I’m passionate about helping teachers with AI . . .

AI is disrupting education. It’s a powerful shift. With the right mindset, it can be a tool for reclaiming time, deepening connection, and designing learning that stays deeply human.

Through Sage Catalyst, I offer frameworks and strategies that help educators navigate this new terrain of AI.

How do you see the future of education?

Here’s the future I envision . . .

Hybrid intelligent classrooms.

Imagine a school where AI enhances human creativity, connection, and purpose.

Here’s what that could look like . . .

Teachers weave prompt engineering into lessons so students know how to guide and orchestrate AI tools, bringing their ideas to life.

Lessons are built to strengthen creativity, wisdom, and imagination, so students can see possibilities before they exist and co-create with AI.

Teachers use AI tools to differentiate learning with speed and creativity, designing personalized scaffolds so students who need more support make real gains and those ready for more are meaningfully challenged.

The arts and humanities are valued, grounding students in what it means to be human in a world of deepfakes, agents, and automation.

Students collaborate with AI “thought partners” to tackle complex real-world problems and design thoughtful solutions.
